Phalaenopsis sections Aphyllae & Parishianae
Deciduous miniature phalaenopsis.
Deciduous and semi-deciduous miniatures from the Himalayan foothills to northern Borneo. Christenson keeps Aphyllae (cold-tolerant, fully leafless in winter) and Parishianae (semi-deciduous SE Asian) separate; modern treatments often merge them.
